Jetblack Espresso is looking for someone energetic & customer focused with a passion for coffee to join our Home Barista Centre in Cremorne full time.
Jetblack Espresso is a leading provider of Home Espresso machines and Barista Courses in Sydney. Our mission is to give home users the equipment and know-how to achieve café quality coffee at home.
Besides making fantastic coffee as a barista, you will also be responsible for the showroom sales & helping customers choose the right equipment for them plus assisting in barista courses.
Your key responsibilities will be:
* Showroom sales - espresso machines, grinders, accessories & courses
* Barista duties
* Processing internet & phone orders
* Assisting in home barista courses
* Liaising with the service department & their customers
* Maintaining a safe and clean environment for staff & customers
* Controlling & ordering coffee levels
To be successful in this position you must:
* have a passion for coffee
* be fluent in English
* have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* be mature and responsible
* have strong organizational skills
* be well presented
* show initiative & be self motivated
* have a strong work ethic
* be able to work independently and as part of a team
* have a high sense of personal and professional integrity
* be available 5 days a week including Saturdays
* be looking for a full time, long-term commitment
* experience is not essential - you must have the right attitude and a love of coffee

Coffee Machine Technician

Jetblack Espresso is a leading provider of Home Espresso machines and Barista Courses in Sydney. We specialise in prosumer espresso machines - small versions of the commercial machines used in Cafes.
Our mission is to give home users the equipment and know-how to achieve cafe quality coffee at home.
We service all the machines we sell. Which is where YOU come in. We need a trainee coffee machine technician for our increasingly busy workshop in Cremorne.
Your key responsibilities will be:
* machine problem diagnosis
* machine repair, maintenance & enhancements
* maintaining an inventory of parts and tools
* updating computer systems in an accurate & timely manner
* maintaining the service area to ensure a safe and clean work environment
To be successful in this position you must:
* have experience with hand tools
* be a quick learner
* have an interest in technical work (no specific experience required)
* be well presented
* pride yourself on the quality of your workmanship
* have a strong work ethic
* be a good problem solver
* have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* have strong organisational skills
* have a high sense of personal and professional integrity
* have a drivers license

Nice to haves:
* a knowledge of electrical circuits (but we can teach you this if you don't have it)
