ECM Bottomless Portafilter

This is a very well made and machined Portafilter...It fits the Profitec Pro 400 very well. Just have to make sure not to overfill the basket until used a few times.. Just need to make sure its snug in the group head to stop leaking water....This Portafilter is a very important part of my coffee making routine...

Brilliant!

Firstly, the finish and aesthetic of this PF is top notch. It looks great on my Profitec Pro 700. Secondly, and most importantly, this bottomless PF is hands-down THE best diagnostic tool I've used for assessing and refining espresso. This PF has given me the feedback I need to enable diagnosis and refinement of all aspects of the grinds and puck preparation. I can see exactly which techniques give the best results. For me, stirring of the grinds from my Niche Zero vigorously with a metal cake skewer prior to dumping into the PF, careful levelling of the grounds, then 10 to 15 seconds of pre-infusion results in perfectly uniform pours. Money well spent in my opinion.

It is great to see exactly how the pour is going and can then refine my technique. The item I received had the angled handle which matches my other ECM handles. It also came with what appears to be a 24g triple basket.

If you need to practice your espresso pour, then this portafilter will not only help you become a better barrister but you will also in time get the perfect thick rich Crema every-time, with your espresso shot. Make sure your using FRESH beans it makes all the difference!!.
