This filter kit will ensure your tap water is great to drink because it will:
- Reduce sediment & small particles such as dirt, sand & rust
- Reduce chemicals - specifically chlorine, which is used to disinfect town water and greatly effects
the taste of espresso (especially when heated) - it can also precipitate to produce corrosive chlorides
And, the water will be safe for your coffee machine because the filter will:
- Reduce Total Hardness (TH). TH - refers mainly to the presence of calcium & magnesium. Not to be
confused with TDS (total dissolved solids) which refers to ALL dissolved minerals. Calcium & Magnesium changes from a liquid to a solid to form scale. It is this scale that coats boilers, elements, valves and jets.
This kit comprises:
- Brita Purity C150 filter cartridge
- Filter head for Brita Purity cartridge
- 450mm braided hose (half inch)
- Ball Valve
- 2 half inch to 3/8 bushes
- 2 self tapping screws for securing the filter head and bracket
If your tap is not connected to a half inch braided hose you may need an extra adapter which will be available from your local plumbing supplies store. We recommend a licensed plumber installs this kit for you.
