Simple, compact, beautifully finished.

Chosen for it's simplicity, quality and styling. Improvements? It would be nice to have a hand-operated switch as an addition to the portafilter-operated one for those who prefer to grind into a separate container with which to dose into the portafilter. The little black tray (that catches the stray coffee grounds) should have the option of being clipped to the bottom of the grinder rather than being a separate free-floating piece that moves around.

Profitec Pro M54 Coffee Grinder (1 year update)

Posting this update after 1 year of daily use. The only negative, although minor is due to design. A wire grate controlling flow of ground coffee into the coffee spout does result in some clumping of despatched product. For an optimal extraction, purchasers of this grinder will benefit from investment of a declumping tool (WDT)

Profitec Pro M54 Coffee Grinder

As is the case with any Profitec product, the build quality is supreme. 52 stepped settings to provide plenty of scope for grind densities from french press to espresso. Reasonably quiet although not a fast grinder (typically 18 seconds to grind an 18 gram dose at espresso fineness). Grind particle size uniformity is exceptional. Confident this machine will provide many years of faithful service.

Quality Grinder

The team at Jetblack helped me with the purchase of a Profitec M54 grinder. As always the team were super helpful. The grinder is great - the grind is fluffy and consistent, and importantly, unlike some other grinders it is super quiet. Very impressed with the quality of the grinder housing as well. All round I am very happy with the grider.
