Profitec Pro T64
By: vicdech on 24 April 2023I recently bought a Profitec Pro T64 grinder. When I set it up I slowly dialed down the grind size for my espresso machine, only to find I couldn't dial it down fine enough. An initial disappointment considering the price. A quick call to Josh, Jet Black Newcastle, sorted it out with clear, helpful instructions that I didn't find in web forums or in the instructions....... empty the hopper, dial down until you can just hear the burrs clicking together, then dial it up a bit for the desired grind ( in my case the hopper rotated about 30 degrees anti-clocwise). I hope this tip helps others. BTW, even my wife thinks the Profitec is worth the money Excellent product. Excellent service

T64 Coffee Grinder
By: Nicholas Boyle on 24 September 2021Last year my kids bought me a Sunbeam coffee grinder. It was lovely but people didn't like my coffee and I found myself filling the portafilter to the top and only running the water through my Profitec 500 for a few seconds to make a cup of coffee that was barely drinkable. This year I bought a barista course at JetBlack (worth every cent, thoroughly recommended) to learn to make coffee better and found out that my poor sunbeam couldn't grind the coffee fine enough. So I bought the one that Amber used (the T64) a couple of weeks ago. Even my wife, who is not a coffee drinker, likes the coffee now. Same coffee, same machine, different grinder. The difference is staggering. It really does make a lovely, tasty coffee. Look, if you have a decent grinder then this won't make a difference, but if you are using a grinder from Bunnings or Harvey Norman then maybe you should look at a better grinder. I like this grinder because you can chuck the portafilter in and press the button and go do something else for 9.4 seconds. To be fair it does chuck the odd piece off coffee onto the floor/counter but the Sunbeam did that and used twice as much coffee. Also it would be good if the power switch was on the front like on the Profitec 500 but you can't have everything. Recommend you get the staff at Jetblack to dial it in for you when you buy so you have a good starting point and don't have to faff about getting the settings right.

Profitec Pro T64
By: Darryl on 24 March 2020This grinder is fast and reasonably quiet. I did find that out of the box the burrs needed quite a bit of adjustment to dial in. The portafilter holder works well with minimal (if any) mess due to stray grinds. I would describe its appearance as slightly utilitarian and understated but it still maintains a good presence on the benchtop. I use it exclusively for espresso with half a hopper at a time in the machine and it fits that profile very well. If I wanted to switch between brews and espresso , or wanted to single dose I would choose a different machine. Overall i am very satisfied with this purchase.

Great Service - Great Grinder
By: Lauri Strengell on 19 June 2019Stunningly beautiful grinder. When I first switched it on (without beans), I thought it was broken. Nah, it was just quiet! Sure, it made some more noise with beans in but very smooth, pleasant to the ear. Much quieter than our consumer-grade conical burr grinder. Noticeable difference in grind quality, I can TASTE the difference, even in French Press coffee. Solid build, German made and impeccable customer service from Jetblack.
