Coffee Machine Repairs at our Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Newcastle, Hobart and Kiama Service centres 

Jetblack Espresso carries out coffee machine repairs, service and maintenance to most brands of manual and semi automatic domestic coffee machines, coffee grinders and domestic coffee roasters. We do not service "super autos" - the machines that grind and extract the coffee at the touch of one button.

Servicing & Pricing

Below is a guide to our standard service pricing by machine type. Your technician will confirm the exact service required, and let you know before carrying out any extra work (such as a descale) beyond a standard service.

Single Boiler machines

  • SB Service – $179
    Check/replace group head seal and shower screen, backflush, clean steam tip and water tank, check/replace hoses, clean group handle, check filter basket and portafilter spring, check correct operation. Clean and polish.
  • SB Descale – $89
    Descale boiler, group head and steam wand.

Single Boiler with E61 group

  • SB with E61 Service – $239
    As per SB Service above, for machines with an E61 group.
  • SB Descale – $89

Single Boiler Combi (with grinder)

  • SB Combi Service – $259
    As per SB Service, plus clean grinder burrs, chute, beak and hopper, check burrs for sharpness and tune for espresso.
  • SB Descale – $89
  • Doserless Grinder Service – $149

Heat Exchange (HX) machines

  • HX Service – $199
    Check/replace group head seal and shower screen, backflush, clean steam and water tips, check/replace hoses, clean group handle, check filter basket and portafilter spring, check correct operation. Clean and polish.
  • HX Descale – $159
    Sanitise/clean boiler, plumbing and group head.
  • HX Service & Descale Combo – $299
  • HX/DB Mini Service – $119
    Electrical test, function test, check/replace group seal and shower screen if needed, check for scale, backflush, clean and polish.

Heat Exchange (HX) with E61 group

  • HX with E61 Service – $279
    As per HX Service above, plus servicing the E61 group head.

    Check/replace seals and shower screen, clean steam tip, clean group handle, check filter basket and portafilter spring, check correct operation. Clean and polish.

Grinders

  • Doserless Grinder Service – $149
    Clean burrs, chute, beak and hopper, check burrs for sharpness (replace if required), test and tune for espresso. Clean and polish.
  • Doser Grinder Service – $219
    As above, for doser grinders.

Roasters

  • Roaster Service – $169
    Check operation, clean/replace filters, clean drum and chaff tray, retest, clean and polish.

Prices shown are for the standard service and are current as at publication; parts, callouts and additional repairs are quoted separately. We don't service "super auto" (bean-to-cup, one-touch) machines.

We service most brands of manual and semi automatic espresso machines, coffee grinders and domestic coffee roasters. If you don't see your brand, contact us to find out if we can help. (We don't repair Sunbeam, Breville, Nespresso, Jura, Krups, Kitchen Aid, K-Fee, Expressi or DeLonghi. But if you have one of these and you are thinking of upgrading, talk to us!)

We recommend a regular inspection and service of your coffee machine and professional clean every 12 months to keep your machine in top working condition. As part of this service we check for scale build up which can seriously shorten the life of a coffee machine.

To arrange a service simply drop off your machine at the workshop. Ensure you bring the portafilter(s) (the handle you put the coffee into) so that we can clean this too and fit the correct group seal. It is also beneficial to bring the water tank and drip tray.
