Now with 1.8BAR steam pressure and outstanding temperature stability, this new version of Profitec's Pro 500 is the best performing heat exchanger on the market!
This machine comes with 2 years warranty.
The Profitec Pro 500 espresso machine has everything you need to make cafe quality coffee at home for years to come. It can brew and steam simultaneously and has many components taken straight from commercial machines.
The Pro 500 is built for reliability with no-crush steam and water valves, PID controlled boiler temp, a strong steel chassis and an absolute minimum of plastic inside and out.
It is also easy to live with. The large cup warmer tray has a stainless steel surround which doubles as a handle to allow easy access to the large internal water tank. The drip tray is deep and wide to allow infrequent emptying. The cool touch water and steam wands are easy to adjust.
The latest version of the Pro 500 with PID now has best in class steam pressure. Most heat exchangers with have steam pressure of 1 BAR. The Pro 500 PID now has 1.4BAR steam pressure! This makes milk texturing to a silky consistency a breeze.
The E61 Flow Control Device allows you to adjust the flow of water in your brew group to manually profile your extractions. This custom component is a stainless steel needle valve, which allows the user to vary the amount of water flowing through the group. Variable flow control allows for lengthy pre-infusion for more even saturation and extraction of your espresso.
Similar to Profitec's existing mushroom, the flow control device is made from stainless steel to resist corrosion. The resulting changes in pressure are reflected by an included gauge which installs on the front of the group. The E61 Flow Control Device can be installed on any Profitec Espresso machine with an E61 brew group.

So ReliableBy: Kevin Penny on 4 April 2021Bought this machine I think about 3 years ago. Since I live 3 hours from Melbourne I wanted a machine that did not need servicing . The Profitec 500 has met my expectations. I chose it over the Rocket because I felt it had rectified the few design faults that the Rocket has. Relatives made fun of the price I paid for a coffee maker but I have gone through an automatic Jura and a manual Lelit and this one is consistent and faithful and has saved me the expense of seeking repairs in Melbourne. We usually find that the lattes we buy from the shops rarely taste as good as the ones we make at home.
Excellent home machine - delivers and built like aBy: Keith Morrell on 23 November 2020This is my third espresso machine (all from JetBlack - thanks team) and I feel this one will last for years. Owned it about 4-5 years now and it just keeps on delivering consistently good coffee every time (subject to me getting my grind and dose right - see my review on the Lelit PL72). The recent steam pressure upgrade has certainly improved the milk frothing. Friends have said my coffee is as good any any shop coffee from North Sydney, but to be fair, home barista's probably take a bit more care with each cup - we're a fussy lot I reckon! I'd recommend this machine in this price range as being a solid (in more ways than one!) investment that is likely to last for a long time...my grinder says I've done nearly 1000 grinds, so the machine has had maybe a couple of hundred more shots pulled that that and still going as good as new. Great machine and looks pretty good too. It's also compact enough to fit under my cupboards - nice!
