ACME Porcelain for Espresso and Milk Coffee
ACME is a New Zealand brand from Wellington that designs cups around the practical needs of hospitality. Its founders came from a cafe business and wanted a cup that solved the everyday annoyances they had seen. The result is tableware that is meant to look clean and cope with busy service.
Built for Daily Use
ACME works with its factory on its own porcelain mix and fires each piece at high temperature, with the details shaped for strength. That makes the cups suited to cafe counters, while still being refined enough for a home kitchen.
Matching Size to Drink
The range follows the way coffee is served. A 70ml demitasse suits espresso, the 150ml flat white cup and 170ml tulip suit smaller milk drinks, and the 190ml cappuccino and 280ml latte cups cover larger ones. The 350ml Mighty Cup is the biggest in this collection. Saucers are sold separately in 11cm, 14cm and 15cm sizes, so check which suits the cup you choose, or ask us.
Colours, Mugs and Special Pieces
ACME names many colours after New Zealand plants and wildlife, such as Kawakawa and Feijoa. The Union Mug follows the shape of a classic cafeteria mug, taster cups come in a set of six, and the Tajimi cup belongs to the Finer range, made at a porcelain factory in Tajimi, Japan.
