Choosing a home coffee roaster
How much do you drink? Small roasters suit one or two coffee drinkers. If you're roasting for a household or friends, a drum roaster like the Hottop or a 1.2 kg Aillio saves roasting several times a week.
How much control do you want? Kaffelogic and Gene Cafe are the simplest to use. Hottop gives you manual or programmed control, and the Aillio suits people who want to log and repeat every roast.
Smoke and chaff. Roasting makes smoke, especially in darker roasts, and the beans shed chaff. Roast under a rangehood, near an open window or outside.
Green beans, parts and service. We stock green coffee beans to roast, and as the Hottop distributor we stock Hottop parts and service the roasters we sell.
Learn to roast. A beginner coffee roasting course is coming soon to every showroom.
