Group Head and Portafilter Parts for Espresso Machines
The group head and portafilter are where hot water meets ground coffee, so the seals, screens and baskets here wear in a way you can see and taste. A tired part is often the quickest reason a good machine starts to leak or pull uneven shots.
Seals and Shower Screens
The group head seal makes the watertight joint with the portafilter rim. Over time the rubber hardens and flattens, and the portafilter handle ends up travelling further round before it locks. The shower screen spreads water over the coffee puck and can clog with oil and scale. Replacement intervals vary with use and water quality, and many technicians swap both at the same service.
Baskets, Spouts and E61 Parts
Filter baskets come in different diameters and dose ranges, so match both to your portafilter and your usual dose. Spouts, blind filters and bottomless portafilters round out the range, and the E61 parts cover the cam, valves and gaskets inside that classic group.
Getting the Right Size
Seals are sold by thickness and style, for example 8mm or old-style conical, and shower screens by diameter and shape, such as lipped, cup style or flat. Measure the old part if you can, or ask us. Our workshop services machines, so we know which details cause mismatches.
