Green Coffee Beans for Home Roasters

Roasting your own coffee gives you control over flavour and freshness. Green beans keep well before roasting, so you can buy a bag and roast small batches when you need them.

Our Origins

Our green range includes beans from Brazil, Colombia, Ethiopia and Papua New Guinea. Each origin has its own character, so you can try several and compare how they roast. Larger bag sizes are available for some origins if you roast regularly.

Roasting at Home

You can roast green beans with a dedicated home roaster, and Jetblack also stocks roasters and roaster parts. Roast in small batches, record your times and temperatures, and adjust a little each time so you learn how each origin behaves.

Storing Green Beans

Keep green beans in a cool, dry place in a breathable container, away from strong smells and direct sunlight. Roast them within a reasonable time for the best flavour.

Frequently asked questions

Green coffee beans are coffee seeds that have been processed and dried but not roasted. They are roasted by you at home, or in a small roastery, to bring out their flavour.

Prices are listed on each product page. Our green beans come in 500g bags, with larger sizes available for some origins.

You need a roaster, a way to cool the beans quickly, and somewhere to rest them after roasting. Our team can help you choose a roaster that suits your batch size.

Stored cool and dry in a breathable container, green beans keep for a good while. For the best flavour, roast them within a few months of buying.
