IMS Precision Baskets and Shower Screens
IMS makes aftermarket baskets and shower screens that many baristas fit when they want to replace a worn original or refine their dosing. The holes are conical rather than drilled, with an electropolished finish that wipes clean easily.
Filter Baskets by Dose
Baskets are listed by diameter and the dose they are designed for, such as single baskets for roughly 7 to 9g and double baskets spanning 12 to 22g. Pick the diameter that fits your portafilter, then choose a dose range close to how much coffee you grind. Using a basket well outside its range makes shots harder to repeat. We also list competition-style baskets and 54mm baskets for San Marco.
Shower Screens by Machine
Screens are matched by machine name, with versions for Faema E61, La Marzocco, Rancilio, San Marco, Cimbali and the Izzo Leva. Competition screens use finer holes for a more even spread of water over the puck. Always check the name in the title, because a screen that looks similar can differ in size or thickness.
