Nuova Simonelli at Jetblack Espresso
Nuova Simonelli began in Italy in 1936 and builds espresso machines mainly for professional use, with a smaller range for home. This page covers the home-friendly Oscar II and Musica, and the parts that suit them.
Oscar II and Musica
The Oscar II uses a heat exchanger boiler, a commercial 58 mm portafilter and timed single and double shot buttons. The Musica is a refinement of that design, with a copper and brass heat exchange boiler, volumetric dosing and a removable water reservoir. Both let you brew and steam without long waits between tasks.
Spare Parts and Wear Items
Group head seals appear in conical sizes such as 8.2 mm and 9 mm, along with a shower screen, a portafilter head, a steam tap o-ring, a Musica touchpad and a 1200 W Oscar and Musica element. Seals and screens are wear items that benefit from regular checks, and sizes vary by group design, so match them to your machine.
Advice and Support
Our showrooms in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Hobart, Newcastle and Kiama let you see machines in person, and many can often be demonstrated. Ask the team about the Musica versus Oscar II, or about compatibility for spares. Our workshop and spare parts store can also guide you on servicing.
