Pullman tampers for the home and the café bar
Pullman is an Australian espresso accessories company that sells tampers, distribution tools, portafilters and filtration products. Here we focus on its two tamper families.
The Nexus tamper
The Nexus has an ergonomic handle whose curve follows the natural shape of your grip and carries through to a solid stainless steel base. Rings around the base help you tamp level. Handles come in high-impact acetal or oiled hardwood, so the choice is between a cleaner modern look and the warmth of timber.
The Barista Tamper
The Barista Tamper line is offered in a broad run of handle colours and timbers, with different base styles available across the full Pullman range. It suits those who want to colour match a bench, a machine or a favourite cup.
How to choose
Start with the base size that matches your basket, as a snug fit helps keep the puck level. Then choose a handle for feel and look. Timber handles feel warm in the hand, while acetal is easy to wipe down.
