Tiamo cold drip makers and bench accessories

Tiamo is a Taiwanese brand making espresso accessories and slow coffee equipment. At Jetblack the range leans towards cold drip: tall towers that release cold water onto ground coffee one drop at a time and collect the result in a carafe below.

How a cold dripper works

Iced water sits in the top chamber, a small valve meters it onto the coffee bed, and the extract falls into the carafe over several hours. One glass and wood model takes roughly three to seven hours, depending on the drip rate you set. Cold drip often gives a cleaner, brighter cup than immersion cold brew.

Choosing a size

The 5-8 cup model suits a household that wants a few glasses in the fridge. The 25 cup tower is better for cafes and gatherings. The bamboo cold dripper brings a natural look to a bench. Every tower needs height and a level, stable spot, so measure your space before you order.

The corner tamping mat

Not everything here is for cold coffee. The Tiamo Corner Tamping Mat is a non-slip silicone mat that wraps around the edge of a bench, giving you a cushioned spot to tamp and protecting the counter.

Frequently asked questions

Expect several hours. One Tiamo glass and wood model takes about three to seven hours, depending on how quickly you let the water fall. A slower drip gives more contact time, so adjust the valve gradually and taste the result before changing again.

A medium to medium-fine grind generally suits slow drip towers. Too fine can slow the flow and pack the bed, while too coarse can run through quickly and taste thin. Start in the middle, then adjust a small step at a time.

Cold brew steeps grounds in water for many hours, whereas cold drip passes water through the coffee bed once, a drop at a time. Drip often tastes cleaner and brighter, though taste is personal and depends on your coffee, grind and flow rate.

Cold drip coffee can keep for up to two weeks when refrigerated in a sealed container. For the freshest flavour, drink it sooner. Store the finished coffee in a clean bottle or jar rather than leaving it in the carafe.

It is a non-slip silicone mat shaped to sit over a bench corner. It has a built-in tamp stand and an edge that wraps around the counter. It cushions your tamp, helps stop the portafilter sliding and protects the bench surface.
